Nottingham: Home of Sport Reception

About the event

Join The University of Nottingham graduate and mastermind of Team GB’s Olympic triumph Liz Nicholl (CEO, UK Sport) to celebrate Nottingham’s status as England’s official Home of Sport and hear about its proud and successful record as a sporting city. From Trent Bridge where England regained the Ashes last year, to the hosting of the 2016 European Archery Championships; from the University’s huge investment in sports and wellbeing facilities with the new £40m David Ross Sport Village, to the National Watersports Centre; from Carl Froch to Torvill and Dean, Nottingham is home to world class teams, athletes and facilities.

Join sporting legends and new talent to celebrate our past and look forward to a bright future.
