Description

Pitching to Parliament: The Next Generation of University of Nottingham Entrepreneurs

About the event

The hour event will feature 3 businesses, chosen by Experian, and members of The Ingenuity Lab. The Ingenuity Lab is the University of Nottingham’s student and alumni entrepreneurship centre, and part of the Haydn Green Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (HGI). They demonstrate a cross section of the innovative businesses currently being developed, or trading, within The Ingenuity Lab in Nottingham. The businesses will pitch their ideas to a specialist panel including Rt. Hon. Anna Soubry MP, and representatives from Experian and HGI.  At the end of the three pitches a winner will be selected and win a prize provided by Experian. The prize will be presented by Chris Clark at the Nottingham: City of Talent and Enterprise, Business Reception in the evening.

This event is the start of a partnership between Experian and The Ingenuity Lab.  The aim to stimulate greater economic development in Nottingham by developing greater numbers of high value businesses being founded by University of Nottingham students and alumni.

  • Rt. Hon. Anna Soubry MP (former Minister of State for Small Business, Industry and Enterprise, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills)
  • Professor Simon Mosey (Director, The Haydn Green Institute)
  • Ade Potts (Managing Director, SME, Experian)
